Tottenham’s Europa League trophy bus parade: Route, date and time revealed

0 7

Details of a Tottenham Hotspur trophy parade have now been revealed, with the date, time and route following their Europa League final win against Man United.

Tottenham Hotspur are champions of Europe, and it is not a dream, as the Lilywhites defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final in Spain at the San Mames Stadium.

A Brennan Johnson goal right before half time was enough for the north London club on the night, with Tottenham having to defend for most of the second half and keeping a clean sheet in the end.

Spurs did have a heart-in-mouth moment in the second half when Guglielmo Vicario made a mess of a Manchester United cross, but Micky van de Ven was alert and on the line to clear the danger.

Heung-min Son and Ange Postecoglou bask in historic Tottenham triumph

It truly was an emotional night for Tottenham fans, who watched the Spurs captain Heung-min Son lift the Europa League trophy high into the Bilbao sky under the lights at the San Mames.

Ange Postecoglou also had his moment, delivering on his second-season promise of a trophy, ending Spurs’ wait for silverware, and giving them a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Tottenham will return to Premier League action on Sunday when they take on Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and with their season all but over, the celebrations are sure to carry over into that clash.
