Gareth Bale set for Europa League involvement ahead of Tottenham vs Manchester United final

0 4

Tottenham Hotspur fans who tune into TNT Sports’ coverage of the Europa League final will have the pleasure of listening to one of the club’s biggest modern-day legends, who will be part of the expert panel analysing the clash on Wednesday.

It is impossible to overstate how important the Europa League final is for Tottenham, with the result potentially set to have a huge influence on the trajectory of the club for many years to come.

Not only would winning a trophy after a 17-year silverware drought galvanise everyone associated with Spurs, but it would also secure passage to next season’s Champions League.

Tottenham’s financial problems have been well documented, which is why the extra revenue from Champions League qualification will prove pivotal to the club’s hopes of significantly strengthening their squad this summer.

That is perhaps why Heung-min Son has described the Europa League final as the biggest day of his life, with the Spurs captain desperate to write his name into the club’s folklore.

Gareth Bale will be part of TNT Sports’ coverage for Europa League final

Spurs fans will be delighted to learn that Tottenham club legend, Gareth Bale, will be part of the TNT Sports’ expert panel in Bilbao, analysing the final between the Lilywhites and Manchester United.

The panel also includes another Tottenham legend from yesteryear, Glenn Hoddle, along with two of the biggest names to have represented Manchester United in their recent history: Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand.

The coverage of the game will start at 6 pm on TNT Sports 1, TNT Sports Ultimate and discovery+, live from the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.

Tottenham fans will be delighted to have representation in the panel

For much of this season’s Europa League campaign, some Spurs fans have been disappointed with a lack of Tottenham representation in the media to give voice to the club’s point of view.

That is something that the Spurs head coach himself has spoken about, with Postecoglou said there are not enough Tottenham voices in the UK media.

With Bale and Hoddle in the TNT Sports studio, that will certainly not be the case for the final, and the Spurs faithful will love to see the pair celebrate if their side does get over the line and break their 17-year trophy drought.
