Red Sox Play Complete Game, Beat Mets In Series Opener
The Red Sox won their series opener against the New York Mets on Monday against a highly-capable Kodai Senga. The Mets pitcher was trying to match Jacob deGrom for the longest streak in Mets history giving up two or fewer earned runs to begin a season.
The Sox were able to capitalize on Senga’s mistakes to pull out three earned runs off the bats of Alex Bregman, Trevor Story, and Jarren Duran, the most that any team has scored against the Mets pitcher.
