Reilly: No Need To Change Preparations

Hibs Women midfielder Kirsten Reilly insists the Hibees will be "preparing like any other league game" ahead of this weekend's final day showdown versus Rangers at Ibrox.

The girls travel to Glasgow on Sunday afternoon aware that a draw or a win will secure the Club's first league title since 2007.

Despite the undeniable magnitude of the fixture, Reilly is adamant the team must prepare for this one - no matter its importance - in the same manner as every league fixture before it.

"As a team, we are just preparing like any other league game. It is a league game at the end of the day.

"We aim to get three points out of every game we go into, so we'll do the same again on Sunday. We're all looking forward to it.

"Obviously, we want to win the title. We would have taken this at the beginning of the season any day.

"I just think we need to approach the game the same way we have been all season."

Reilly, who has lifted the ScottishPower Women's Premier League once before, is excited by the prospect of getting her hands on the trophy for a second time.

While it would be a marvellos personal achievement, the 29-year-old is more interested in how much it would mean to the Club itself to break through the status quo and lift our first league title in 18 years.

"It's been a great season," Reilly said. "We've achieved more than we probably set out to.

"It's a great bunch of girls, who I feel privileged to do it alongside. So, we just want to finish it on a high.

"It would be absolutely incredible [to win the league title]. I don't think anyone would have put us as the league winners at the beginning of the season, so we want to try and prove them all wrong on Sunday.

"But we've just got to focus on the game and see what the outcome is at the end of the 90 minutes."
