The Boston Celtics are facing do-or-die circumstances entering their Game 6 matchup with the New York Knicks on Friday.

Payton Pritchard is fine with it.

“Ready to go to war tonight,” Pritchard said on Friday, per MassLive’s Brian Robb. “We don’t want our season to end. I think there’s nothing worse than having to go home and sit at home and not play basketball right now. We’re going to do everything we can to keep that alive.”

The C’s have already secured one elimination game victory, extending their season with a win Wednesday night at TD Garden. The Knicks will be much more comfortable trying to close things out at Madison Square Garden than they were on Causeway Street, however.

Pritchard, coming off a 17-point performance off the bench, will be relied upon to continue his scoring barrage without Jayson Tatum in the lineup. But based on his comments, there shouldn’t be many worries about whether or not he’s ready.
