My Uncle (Moms brother) passed last weekend.
Dave Cooke, from Selly Oak. You guessed it, the big ‘C’. Lung Cancer, he never smoked a fag in his life but had been subject to passive smoking for his entire life. It affects some folk and not with others. Dave was a true gent, he never harmed a fly, and it was his fault that I ended up supporting Blues. Dave had a season ticket throughout the 70’s and early 80’s, and continually went regularly for the rest of his life.
Dave worked in the office at Bristol St Motors on Bristol St, and was one of their longest ever serving members of staff.
RIP Dave. You are sorely missed.
