Patriots Legend Reacts To Latest Bill Belichick-Jordon Hudson Report

The Bill Belichick-Jordon Hudson story captivated social media, and it’s been an interesting experience for former New England Patriots stars.

Things seemed to take a turn Friday when longtime reporter Pablo Torre reported that the University of North Carolina banned Hudson from its football facility. However, UNC released a statement that contradicted the report. It showed how wild and developing the story is, and a Patriots legend couldn’t help but joke about the situation.

“I can tell you this right now, Jordon and Coach Belichick are not banned from “Pickleball for a Purpose” on May 28,” Rob Gronkowski said on “Toucher & Hardy.” “Pickleball does not discriminate on age, either. Anyone can play.”

Gronkowski appeared on the 98.5 The Sports Hub show to promote his partnership with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where the four-time Super Bowl champion will play pickleball with friends and fans in Natick, Mass. It was a funny answer to promote the event, but Fred Toucher wondered if the Belichick-Hudson situation was funny among former players.

“It is, and in the back of your head, too, you’re just thinking to yourself, when you’re on the Patriots, the whole goal was to eliminate all the distractions that can possibly happen while you’re on the team,” Gronkowski said. “And don’t bring those distractions to the team and the locker room. And we’re just looking down at the program at North Carolina, and it just feels like there’s distractions 24/7 down there. There’s just no football talk at all. That’s what’s kind of silly about it and kind of questioning, ‘What happened to eliminate every distraction?’ It is what it is. It’s entertainment. It doesn’t affect me. I enjoy watching the show.”
