Bodo/Glimt have been watching videos of Tottenham’s defensive mistakes
A Bodo/Glimt centre-back has continued the war of words between the sides ahead of the second leg by suggesting that the Norwegian side can take advantage of Tottenham’s defensive weakness.
It looks like Tottenham Hotspur’s opponents are doing their best to get into the heads of the North London side, having made some brash pre-match comments seemingly intended to stoke the flame ahead of what is one of the biggest games in Bodo/Glimt’s history.
Right-back Fredrik Sjovold has said that Tottenham will collapse in the second leg, insisting that the Lilywhites’ pressing game is not very effective.
If that was not enough to get Ange Postecoglou’s men riled before the clash, another Bodo/Glimt player has now come out with a fighting comment.
Bodo/Glimt man says Tottenham’s defence is susceptible
Experienced centre-back Jostein Gunderson believes that the Norwegian side still has an opportunity to turn the tie around despite going into the second leg with a two-goal deficit.
He revealed that Bodo/Glimt had spotted defensive weaknesses with Tottenham in their video analysis.
Gunderson told NRK (as translated by Sport Witness): “We have seen a lot of videos. It is not the best team in the world in defence, with all due respect. It is a fantastic football team, but there are possibilities.”
One would imagine that these comments are likely to be discussed in the Spurs changing room and could set the stage for a fierce and ill-tempered affair this evening at the Aspmyra Stadion.

Why Ange Postecoglou will be confident of a good defensive showing
Jostein Gunderson’s claim about Tottenham defensive weaknesses is a statement of fact, with the Lilywhites having conceded 57 goals in 35 league matches this season.

However, Postecoglou did not have the luxury of a Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven pairing at the back for large parts of the season, which he does for the big clash this evening.
Given the resolute defensive showing that Spurs delivered at Eintracht Frankfurt in the previous round, the Australian will be confident that his side can keep things tight at the back in Norway.
