Julian Edelman Was ‘No-Brainer’ Choice For Patriots Hall Of Fame
Julian Edelman deserves to be a Patriots Hall of Famer, and that’s exactly what he’s going to be after the fans voted him in.
The Patriots Hall of Fame on Monday announced Edelman won the fan vote and will be the next legendary player to be inducted. He will form the Class of 2025 with former Patriots head coach Bill Parcells after receiving more votes than fellow legends Adam Vinatieri and Logan Mankins.
During the latest episode of NESN’s “Boston Has Entered The Chat,” Travis Thomas and George Balekji reacted to Edelman’s selection and whether or not he was the best selection for this year.
“I think Jules getting elected into the Patriots Hall of Fame is about as no-brainer as it gets,” Thomas said.
Balekji agreed Edelman was a “no duh” and “no brainer” sort of choice, but also understood those who felt Vinatieri was snubbed.
“But my reaction to this was, it’s still not Adam Vinatieri?” Balekji said. “Greatest kicker of all-time, and he’s still not in the Patriots Hall of Fame? That’s where — Edelman can get it next year. Vinatieri has to be in next season. To me, it’s absurd that he’s not in the Patriots Hall of Fame yet. It makes zero sense at all.”
