Tottenham weighing up a £51m bid for West Ham star – Liverpool also keen

0 0

Tottenham are said to be lining up a potential £51 million move for West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen, despite the Hammers insisting the winger is not for sale.

West Ham United, just like Tottenham Hotspur, have been in poor form this season, with the East London side sitting a place below Spurs, who are down in 16th.

A number of West Ham players have been tipped to leave, and Jarrod Bowen, who has been outstanding since his move to the club, is among those attracting attention.

Reports suggest the 28-year-old has doubts about sticking around under Graham Potter, with concerns growing as the Hammers continue to slide. Tottenham have now been named as one of the clubs keeping tabs on Bowen.

Tottenham consider £51 million move for Jarrod Bowen

It has also been revealed that if West Ham United are to improve their PSR Position, they would need to sell players before they can push ahead with moves for their transfer targets this summer.

Tottenham have made contact with Jarrod Bowen. But it is understood that despite the forward’s uncertainty about staying at West Ham, the club remain adamant he’s not for sale.

According to CaughtOffside, however, Tottenham remain keen on signing Bowen, and are now weighing up a potential offer of €60 million (£51 million) for the England international.

Spurs are not alone in their pursuit, as Liverpool too are said to be weighing up a similar offer. Tottenham and Liverpool are the sides currently showing the most interest, with both clubs on the hunt for a versatile forward who can operate across the front line – a role Bowen fits perfectly.

Spurs eye Bowen amid uncertainty over Heung-min Son and Richarlison

There’s been increasing talk that Heung-min Son’s Tottenham career could come to an end this summer.

Questions also remain over Mathys Tel’s Tottenham future, with no guarantee the club will push to make his loan deal permanent.

Add to that, Richarlison has interest from Saudi Arabia, and it’s clear that Tottenham will be in the market for reinforcements. Bowen’s profile makes him a compelling option.
