What Patriots Leaders In Draft War Room Told Will Campbell
The New England Patriots felt more than confident in drafting Will Campbell.
The “very, very easy pick” gave the franchise its starting left tackle of the future with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Patriots released the video from the war room when the football decision-makers made the call to inform Campbell of his selection. Head coach Mike Vrabel, owner Robert Kraft and executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf congratulated the LSU product on a special night.
“Congratulations, man,” Wolf told Campbell. “We’re going to make you our first-round pick. You’re a New England Patriot.”
“Buddy, we’re happy as hell,” Vrabel told Campbell. “We’re excited for you. Make sure you thank everybody that helped you get here. Your parents, your family, your girl. You’ve got a great story. You’re about everything that we are. We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. We’ll get this thing going. We’re excited to have you.”
“Will, congratulations,” Kraft told Campbell. “We’re excited to have you. You’re gonna hopefully help us to strengthen that offense. I look forward to meeting you in person.”
Campbell makes the trip to Foxboro tomorrow for his official introduction while the Patriots prepare for two more important days of the NFL draft.
