'Set to be': Fabrizio Romano confirms 'record-time' positive news for Man United fans

0 2

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost for the final phase of the season.

Amad Diallo suffered an ankle injury in training in February, but he is scheduled to return to training next week.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has now dropped exciting news for United supporters.

He posted on X: “Amad Diallo, set to be back in training with Manchester United squad already next week.”

He has recovered in “record-time” as initial reports suggested that he would not play again this campaign.

Diallo is key to Europa League success

Diallo has become a cult hero at Old Trafford and his return will be music to supporters’ ears.

The Ivorian was a fringe player under former manager Erik ten Hag, but he has thrived under his successor Ruben Amorim.

He has bagged six goals and six assists in 20 games under the Portuguese.

He dazzled as a free-roaming number 10 and as a dynamic right wing-back, showing incredible versatility.

With Joshua Zirkzee sidelined for the rest of the season, United’s attacking depth is stretched thin.

That leaves Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho as Amorim’s only fit forwards.

Diallo’s return is a big boost, and Amorim will be eager to have him back for the Europa League semi-finals against Athletic Bilbao.

While he may not start the first leg on May 1, a bench appearance looks more than likely.

Should United march to the final on May 21, we expect Diallo to be at the heart of the action.

Bruno Fernandes is the only United player who has taken on the responsibility of injecting creativity.

Diallo will share that responsibility with the United skipper and also bring more urgency to the Red Devils’ toothless attack.
