How Drake Maye Reacted To Patriots Drafting Will Campbell

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has new protection at left tackle.

New England selected LSU’s Will Campbell with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Maye scrambled frantically around without a capable offensive line in front of him during his rookie season. Now, Maye has a left tackle with a proven SEC-pedigree to protect the blind side of the Patriots quarterback.

Campbell gave an emotional interview after the selection with NFL Network’s Jamie Erdahl. Maye reposted the video on X with excitement for the Patriots.

“Love this guy already,” Maye posted with the fire emoji. “LFG.”

Campbell slides onto the line for the Patriots as one of two new likely starting tackles after the addition of Morgan Moses at right tackle in free agency. New England should be much improved in the trenches on both sides of the ball with Mike Vrabel leading the way as head coach in 2025.
