The wee Hibees face a top of the table clash on Friday evening, as they take on title challengers Rangers at HTC!
The match between the CAS Elite Under-18 League's top two sides takes place on Friday (25 April) at the Hibernian Training Centre, with kick-off at 4pm.
Fixtures
- Hibernian U18s Vs. Rangers U18s - Fri, Apr 25th 2025, 13:09
The Lowdown
Darren McGregor's side currently occupy top spot in the CAS Elite Under-18 League, accumulating 58 points from 25 games.
The youngsters have won all five of their post-split fixtures – defeating St Mirren, Queen’s Park, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen before once more beating St Mirren last weekend.
Dean Cleland grabbed an early brace and Rory Whittaker netted from close range to put Hibs ahead by three at the St Mirren Training Ground before Buddies defender Innes Clark pulled one back for the hosts before half-time.
The match ended 3-1 in Hibs’ favour, lifting them to the top of the league table heading into this week’s match-up.
The Opposition
Second-place Rangers currently trail the wee Hibees only on goal difference.
The Glasgow side have played one match more than Hibernian, giving our youngsters a one-match advantage in the title race.
Rangers were unbeaten in seven league games leading into their last match on Tuesday (22 April) versus St Mirren.
The Buddies, who had held the Gers to a draw only a few weeks ago, came out victorious on the day – defeating the title hopefuls 2-1 at the St Mirren Training Ground.
Head-To-Head
The two sides have met twice in the league this season, with Rangers running out as 2-0 winners back in December in our most recent encounter.
Back in September, the wee Hibees battled hard to turn around a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 at HTC.
Callum Burnside and Christopher Eadie had put the visitors well ahead by the hour mark and on the path to victory.
However, a spirited comeback – with a brace from Dean Cleland completing the fightback – secured the boys a well-earned point.
How To Watch
Kick-off is from 4pm at HTC, with supporters from both clubs welcome to come and watch the action free of charge!
