Man Utd now in talks to sign strong 6ft French striker this summer - L’equipe

Talks are well underway between Le Havre striker Enzo Kana-Biyik, his representatives and Manchester United over a summer deal, according to French outlet L’equipe.

The 18-year-old Franco-Cameroonian wants to leave his childhood club and he is expected to join the Red Devils in the coming weeks, but Le Havre are hoping they can convince him to remain in France beyond this season.

Kana-Biyik is yet to make his senior debut for the Ligue 1 club, but he has been regularly involved in first-team training sessions and has made the matchday squad once.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, the Frenchman is seriously considering his future and Man United are keen on recruiting his services.

However, Kana-Biyik will be joining the youth team should a move work out in the summer, and he will then look to convince head coach Ruben Amorim of his quality going forward.

The highly-rated 6ft striker will fancy his chances of impressing and forcing his way into the first-team plans of the Portuguese having seen the likes of Ayden Heaven, Tyler Fredricson and Harry Amass prove themselves in the senior team this season despite their young age.

Man United are not the only club interested in signing Kana-Biyik, with Marseille and suitors across Europe also monitoring his situation due to his huge potential and talent.

His strength, finishing abilities and pace have attracted the Red Devils and others to him, and more bigwigs could join in his pursuit once his current contract expires.

Man United are desperate to bolster their attacking ranks following an underwhelming campaign in front of goal this term and recent campaigns, and summer deals for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha and Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap are on the cards.

The Old Trafford club are also preparing for the future and could add Kana-Biyik to their youth ranks, and having both the Frenchman and Chido Obi ready to establish themselves as future Premier League stars could be huge.
