Aiming to secure a spot in the semifinals: Projected lineups for Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League

0 3
Barcelona's 4-0 victory in the first leg has put them in a commanding position to advance to the Champions League semifinals. The team will be looking to defend their lead and avoid any surprises in the second leg.

Barcelona will play this Tuesday at 3 PM at Signal Iduna Park for a place in the semifinals of the Champions League. The “Azulgrana” (Blue and Garnet) team arrives with a comfortable advantage after the 4-0 they got in the first leg in Montjuïc. Although there are still 90 minutes to be played on German soil, the “Culés” (Barcelona fans) have at this time one foot and a half in the semifinals.

Flick’s team arrives after a tight triumph in Butarque. They got the three points in La Liga and thus maintain the distance with respect to Real Madrid, their immediate pursuer. The bad news was the injury of Balde who will not be able to be in the clash this Tuesday. At least, Flick can recover Dani Olmo who entered the call once his injury was overcome.

Borussia Dortmund dreams of the miracle of the comeback although he is fully aware of the difficulty of the mission after the result of the first leg. Kovac reserved several players in the match last weekend against Bayern Munich that ended with a 2-2 draw. The coach recovers Gross who was sanctioned in the first leg.

Predicted lineups

  • Borussia Dortmund: Kobel; Süle, Emre Can, Anton; Ryerson, Nmecha, Svensson, Chukwuemeka, Gross; Beier and Guirassy.
  • Barcelona: Szczesny; Koundé, Araujo, Cubarsí, Gerard Martín; Pedri, De Jong; Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Raphinha; and Lewandowski.
