James Roswell called up to Tottenham training – Who else was spotted ahead of Europa League?

0 8

The Tottenham Hotspur players have been training today ahead of Thursday’s all-important Europa League tie against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tottenham’s 3-1 win against Southampton couldn’t have come at a better time. With the Europa League quarter-final looming, the win will give the team a much-needed boost.

However, attention now shifts to Eintracht Frankfurt, who themselves come into the tie after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Werder Bremen on Saturday.

The first leg, which will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, is a critical one, as Spurs will want to take a strong advantage to Germany for the return leg. The margin for error is slim.

Kevin Danso and Dejan Kulusevski did not train with Tottenham today

The Tottenham Hotspur first-team squad have been going through a series of drills as part of the training session at Hotspur Way as they conclude their preparations ahead of the Europa League quarterfinal match.

However, not all players were present in Tottenham training. Kevin Danso is still nursing a hamstring injury, while Dejan Kulusevski also missed out due to his foot injury. 18-year-old defender, James Roswell, was called up to senior Tottenham training – likely to fill in for the missing Danso and Dragusin.

Among the players spotted taking part in the Tottenham training session were:

Goalkeepers

Alfie Whiteman, Guglielmo Vicario, Brandon Austin, Antonin Kinsky, Fraser Forster

Defenders

Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie, Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Sergio Reguilon, Mikey van de Ven, Djed Spence, James Roswell (Tottenham academy defender).

Midfielders

Lucas Bergvall, Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr, Archie Gray, Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert, Rodrigo Bentancur, Brennan Johnson, James Maddison.

Forwards

Timo Werner, Dominic Solanke, Heung-min Son, Dane Scarlett, Mathys Tel.

The long and short of it is that every single Tottenham player made it out of the Southampton game without fresh injuries, with only Kulusevski, Danso, and Radu Dragusin missing training.

For those of you wondering how to watch Tottenham vs Eintracht Frankfurt, the match kicks off at 8 pm GMT on Thursday, with the match televised live on TNT Sports for viewers in the United Kingdom.
