Tottenham face ‘impossible’ task of convincing league-winning manager to join
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur are indeed interested in signing last season’s title-winning manager and has shed light on their chances of doing so.
It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Andoni Iraola is Tottenham’s top choice to replace Ange Postecoglou at the end of the season should they decide to part ways with their head coach.
According to various sources, Spurs are still keeping an eye on both Marco Silva and Thomas Frank as they continue to make contingency plans in case Postecoglou fails to turn things around.
However, it is not just managers from the Premier League that the Lilywhites are thought to have their eye on, with various outlets claiming that Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi is also on Tottenham’s shortlist.
Fabrizio Romano provides bad news for Spurs on Simone Inzaghi
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed to GiveMeSport that Inzaghi is indeed one of the options that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in, with his impressive work at the San Siro winning admirers at the North London club.
However, the journalist states that Daniel Levy faces a ‘potentially impossible battle’ to prise the Italian away from Inter at the end go the season.
Inzaghi is said to be fully focused on his project at the Nerazzurri and his attention in the summer will shift towards the Club World Club, with Inter being one of the two Italian representatives in the competition.

This update comes just a few days after Tottenham insider Paul O Keefe revealed that the Lilywhites are considering two managers from outside the Premier League.
While one of those in Inzaghi, he revealed that Spurs are also fans of Edin Terzic, who has been out of work since parting ways with Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.
