Daniel Levy has reportedly put a huge price tag on Cristian Romero after a number of clubs expressed an interest in signing the Tottenham centre-back this summer.
Those who have followed Spurs Web’s coverage would be aware that the Tottenham vice-captain’s future has been the subject of plenty of speculation over recent weeks.
The centre-back has just over two years left on his contract, and according to some sources, Tottenham have reportedly told Romero that he will be sold if he does not sign a new contract.
It has been reported over recent days that while Spurs previously asked for £60m for Romero, they are prepared to lower their valuation this summer as the likes of Atletico Madrid and AC Milan circle over the player.

However, Daniel Levy has allegedly told Los Blancos and other interested clubs that they would have to cough up ‘well over £100m’ if they want to sign the 26-year-old.
The report claims that the Tottenham chairman is keen to retain the World Cup winner ahead of next season, despite the growing interest in his services.
The publication adds that as things stand, Atletico are hoping to finalise a £75m deal for the Argentina international.

This update from Football.London comes just a few days after a big claim was made about the centre-back’s transfer stance ahead of the summer.
Amidst an approach from Atletico, it was revealed that Romero is very much open to leaving Spurs at the end of the season, particularly if the Lilywhites fail to qualify for the Champions League.
