Tottenham may have to fight Juventus to land ‘top’ manager target

Tottenham Hotspur have just learned some bittersweet news regarding the future of their managerial target, Marco Silva, with a fresh update talking up the chances of him leaving Fulham but revealing that a Serie A club have also expressed interest in his services.

While Andoni Iraola is thought to be Tottenham’s top choice to replace Ange Postecoglou, reports over recent weeks have claimed that Spurs could turn to Marco Silva if they cannot get Iraola.

In fact, some sources have alleged that Silva could be Tottenham’s top managerial target, with the Portuguese coach thought to have many admirers at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham have just learned that they will have to see off competition from a Champions League club to land the Fulham boss.

Serie A club ready to challenge Spurs for Marco Silva

Italian journalist Marco Conterio has reported about the 47-year-old’s future at Fulham, claiming that he will leave Craven Cottage, thus handing a huge boost to Tottenham.

He also confirms that Spurs have already expressed an interest in Silva as they continue to contemplate the future of Ange Postecoglou.

However, he reveals that the Fulham boss is also on Juventus’ shortlist ahead of the summer as the Serie A club step up their chase for a new head coach.

Conterio adds that Silva is very much part of the names being elevated by the Bianconeri, who have already enquired about the former Everton boss’s availability.

Fulham’s plan to keep Marco Silva off Tottenham’s clutches

However, despite the growing interest in their manager’s services, the Cottagers are reportedly determined to keep him at the club.

It has been reported over recent weeks that Fulham are ready to offer Silva an improved contract to ward off Tottenham interest.

The same update claimed that the West London club are also prepared to back the 47-year-old this summer with the signings he needs in an effort to convince him that he can fulfil his ambitions at Craven Cottage.
