Tottenham Hotspur attacker spotted back in training ahead of Chelsea clash
One injured Tottenham man, who has been out of action since early February, was spotted training with his teammates at Hotspur Way this week, thus providing Ange Postecoglou a major injury boost.
Tottenham’s injury situation is nowhere near as bad as it was earlier in the season, but the Lilywhites have still had a few significant absentees over recent weeks.
One of those is Richarlison, who has been out of action since the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat against Liverpool in early February.
The Brazilian has hardly been able to build any momentum over the past couple of seasons, being ravaged by injuries, but his comeback is now seemingly not far away.
Richarlison spotted back in Tottenham training
Tottenham released a video of the team training on Friday following the return of all their players from international duty.
To Spurs fans’ delight, Richarlison was seen with the rest of his teammates, with the forward seen signing autographs for fans ahead of training. He was also seen going through a warm-up with his teammates and appeared to be moving without any discomfort.
While there was not any footage of him taking part in the attacking drills, it does seem like the former Everton man is not far away from a return.
Could Richarlison have a fairytale ending to his Spurs journey?
It has been widely reported over recent months that Tottenham are prepared to cash in on Richarlison at the end of the season.
However, he could still have a vital role to play over the coming months as an option to rotate with Dominic Solanke, particularly given that Mathys Tel does not seem suited to playing as a number nine.
The 27-year-old could end his time with the club in style by helping them get their hands on the Europa League trophy.
