Tottenham receive news on Lucas Bergvall illness ahead of Chelsea clash
Tottenham fans will be interested to see the latest training video released by the club, which shows an update on Lucas Bergvall after he was ruled out of both matches during the international break.
Tottenham had a whopping 17 players on international duty over the last two weeks, which is why Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff will be delighted to have them back in training.
The Australian can breathe a sigh of relief as it appears that all of his players have come through the international break unscathed, but there were concerns surrounding one Tottenham man.
Lucas Bergvall missed both of Sweden’s international friendlies due to illness, which would have undoubtedly been a matter of concern at Hotspur Way.
Tottenham receive Lucas Bergvall boost after latest training video
Given how important a player Bergvall has become for the Lilywhites over the last few months, one can understand why the supporters would be nervously waiting for updates regarding the 19-year-old.
That update has now come via a video of the training session shared by Tottenham on their social media platform, which shows that the Swede did train with his teammates.
In fact, the teenager even stayed behind after training to be a part of shooting and free-kick drills, with Bergvall appearing to have recovered fully from his illness.
Postecoglou will be relieved with Tottenham’s schedule
Most of Tottenham’s players got plenty of minutes into their legs during the international break, which is why it would have been challenging for the Lilywhites to have played a game this weekend.
That would have increased the injury risk for several Spurs players, which is why Postecoglou will be delighted that his side have an entire week to recover and prepare for the London derby against Chelsea.
