How Stefon Diggs Feels About Working With Patriots QB Drake Maye

Drake Maye sure seemed excited when news broke that Stefon Diggs planned to sign a free-agent contract with the Patriots.

So, how does the star wide receiver feel about teaming up with New England’s franchise quarterback?

“I’m excited,” Diggs told reporters Friday, per a team-provided video. “I really look forward to it. It’s crazy, when you ask around, people say through the grapevine that he acts like Josh (Allen). That was my guy, so I look forward to meeting and connecting with him.”

Diggs, even after recovery from a torn ACL injury, likely will be leaps and bounds better than any pass-catcher who Maye had in his rookie-season arsenal. So, when you consider the kind of production the 2024 first-rounder managed to have in Year 1 despite a weak supporting cast, it’s fair to assume Maye and Diggs will do big things together.

Of course, it still remains to be seen when the Maye-Diggs tandem will get the show on the road.
