Tottenham fans all saying the same thing about Wilson Odobert’s performance for France U21s vs England
Tottenham Hotspur fans were buzzing after Wilson Odobert’s impressive display for France’s Under-21s, with the winger putting England to the sword with his electric pace and precise deliveries.
Wilson Odobert has been outstanding for Tottenham Hotspur since making his comeback from injury, and he carried that momentum into international duty on Friday.
The 20-year-old was a menace down the flanks, causing England’s defence all sorts of problems.
The Spurs man was instrumental in France’s opener, tormenting Rico Lewis with some slick footwork before whipping in a pinpoint low cross for Hugo Ekitike to slot home.
Odobert wasn’t done yet. Ten minutes into the second half, he burst down the left flank, latching onto a through ball before delivering another inch-perfect cross with his weaker foot—once again finding Ekitike in space to finish.

Spurs fans were delighted with what they saw from Odobert against England, and they wasted no time sharing their thoughts on social media.
One fan said: “Spurs need better passers so that Odobert can get the ball 1v1 on the wing.”
Another stated: “He will be a great player for us. What people don’t understand is that our squad is young and inexperienced. In a few years’ time, we’ll be dominating. Trust in Ange.”
One more added: “Baller under a real manager in the summer. Once Ange is gone, he will kick on.”
Another fan joked: “Brennan Johnson, count your days, mate. Heheheheh.”
What next for Wilson Odobert at Tottenham?
It’s great to finally see Odobert getting consistent minutes after his long injury layoff. At just 20, he’s clearly got the talent to develop into a key player for Spurs in the near future.
Ange Postecoglou opted to rest him against Fulham, which raised a few eyebrows given his form. But with the Europa League knockout stages approaching, there’s no doubt he’ll have a big role to play if Spurs are to go all the way.
