Tottenham could hire sacked Premier League boss to replace Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly already considering options to take over from Ange Postecoglou and they are now contemplating a shocking move for an English manager, who was sacked by a Premier League club just a few months ago.
Tottenham’s latest loss to Fulham on Sunday was their 15th defeat of the Premier League season in just 29 games, and Postecoglou has been told that his job is hanging by a thread.
There were some ugly scenes after Spurs’ loss at Craven Cottage, with Postecoglou seen confronting a Tottenham supporter after the final whistle, and needing to be pulled back by Djed Spence and Mathys Tel.
The 59-year-old’s behaviour suggests that he is a man under immense pressure, who knows that his future at the club might be in doubt.

TEAMtalk have now claimed that the Spurs hierarchy are yet to make a final decision on Postecoglou’s future, and they accept that he has been dealt a tough hand due to injuries.
However, with many of the injured players now available, he is expected to deliver, and it is revealed that winning the Europa League would ‘significantly enhance’ the Australian’s chances of staying in charge next season.
The report claims that the club have already begun looking for potential options to replace Postecoglou, and apart from the likes of Andoni Iraola and Edin Terzic, they have also set their sights on an English manager.
It is asserted that Russel Martin, who was sacked by Southampton back in December, has emerged as a shock candidate to take over at N17.
Even though the Saints picked up just five points in 19 Premier League games under Martin this season, the 39-year-old is said to have admirers at Tottenham.

Why do Spurs like Russel Martin?
It is revealed that while Marin is seen as a ‘risky pick’ by Spurs, he remains one of the most highly rated English managers in the game.
The outlet explains that while his possession-based style might have backfired at Southampton, there is a feeling that his system will work if he has better players at his disposal.
Martin is said to be open to taking a new Premier League challenge in the summer, and TEAMtalk say that he could be ‘a surprising name to watch in the summer’ during Tottenham’s potential managerial hunt.
