Tottenham receive big Marc Guehi update amid rumoured Crystal Palace shopping spree
Crystal Palace have made a decision on the future of Marc Guehi as Tottenham and other clubs continue to circle over the Crystal Palace defender.
It was widely reported that Tottenham had a £70m offer turned down for Marc Guehi during the January window, with the Lilywhites securing Kevin Danso from Lens instead.
Despite the arrival of Danso, reports over recent weeks have claimed that Spurs will try again to sign Guehi this summer.
However, they might have their work cut out as sources indicate that Tottenham will face competition from the likes of Man United for Marc Guehi at the end of the season.
Crystal Palace are at least willing to sell Marc Guehi to Tottenham
The England international will enter the final year of his deal at Selhurst Park this June and there is no indication at the moment to suggest that he is on the verge of signing a new deal.
The Guardian have now claimed that Guehi is expected to exit the South London club at the end of the season.
Even though the Eagles rejected a £70m offer from Spurs for the 24-year-old mid-season, Oliver Glasner’s men are expected to cash in on the centre-back as the interest in his services continues to grow.
Interestingly though, it is explained that should Palace sell Guehi, they will not consider selling Adam Wharton or Jean-Philippe Mateta.
This is also significant for Tottenham, with various outlets claiming over recent weeks that Spurs are plotting a summer move for Wharton.
One other Crystal Palace star is also on Tottenham’s wishlist
Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton are not the only two Palace players who Tottenham have been credited with an interest in ahead of the summer window.
It was reported just over a week ago that Tottenham have emerged as a frontrunner to sign Eberechi Eze this summer.
In fact, some outlets have even asserted that Ange Postecolgou sees Eze as a long-term replacement for Heung-min Son.
