Rovers Down South Tribute Night

0 2

On behalf of Rovers Down South and the Raith Rovers Former Players Association, we’re excited to invite you to the Rovers Unsung Heroes Tribute Dinner at the Dean Park Hotel on Friday, 4th April at 7pm.

This event is in aid of Raith Rovers Community Foundation Community Belong Project.

The evening will be a repeat of similar events in the past, albeit with a different slant, this year celebrating ‘Rovers Unsung Heroes’ – players who have contributed massively to the fabric of the Club and its heritage with how they served, maintaining connections with the Club as ambassadors and icons.

Players including Tom Houston, Allan Forsyth, Chris Candlish, Brian McDonaugh, Grant Anderson, David McGurn, Billy Mitchell, Brian Cooper, Bobby Russell, Jim Kerr, Roddy Georgeson, John Mitchell and Bobby Ford will be in attendance to reminisce over their past exploits.

Andy Harrow, Davie Hunter and Stevie Kirk may also put in an appearance.

Various other entertainment will be taking place including a quiz with prizes, speeches, and raffles and an auction of some great memorabilia for the Community Foundation.

Rovers fans of all ages are invited and the inimitable John Greer will be holding court with the players’ fun stories, memories and more.

Join us on the night to help build the next generation of Rovers fans and enjoy a two-course meal from one of Kirkcaldy’s premier kitchens all in the luxury surroundings of The Dean Park Hotel, Kirkcaldy.

The cost of the evening will be £40 per attendee, with spaces still available though they are filling up fast.

Each table will include at least one player.

They raised around £2,500 in our April 2024 event and that has been used to revamp the sponsored tickets scheme in conjunction with the Community Foundation under the The Community Belong banner.

The Community Belong – JustGiving

As ever, these events sell out fast so to guarantee your place, please contact Roversds2015@gmail.com as quickly as you can.

They aim to raise at least £3,000 this year to supplement the above initiatives and make a positive contribution to the future and present of our great club.
