Tottenham forward’s future is ‘open’ amid links with Premier League rival

0 2

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Tottenham Hotspur’s stance on 27-year-old Richarlison’s future amid links with Everton.

Talks surrounding Richarlison’s future at Tottenham continue to swirl, and honestly, it comes as no surprise.

His time in north London has been blighted by injuries, making it difficult for him to establish himself as a consistent presence in Ange Postecoglou’s side.

With the summer window approaching, speculation over potential outgoings at Spurs has intensified, and we believe Richarlison is one of ten players Tottenham could part ways with this summer.

Spurs are reported to have found a Premier League buyer for Richarlison, as a return to Everton has been floated. There have also been whispers of Newcastle’s interest, while links to Saudi Arabia also remain.

Tottenham yet to decide on Richarlison’s future

Fresh reports from Fabrizio Romano have now shed light on the club’s stance regarding the Brazilian forward.

According to the journalist, as relayed by GIVEMESPORT, Spurs are yet to make a definitive decision on Richarlison, and as things stand, his future remains an open story.

Romano stated: “No time now for decisions yet. Spurs are focused on finishing the season in the best way possible, then… we will see. It’s an open story.”

Tottenham’s priority at the moment is securing the best possible finish to their campaign, with squad decisions expected to follow once the season concludes.

Richarlison’s battle to prove himself

Richarlison’s season has been heavily disrupted by injuries, with the 27-year-old suffering his third setback of the campaign last month.

These fitness issues have significantly limited his impact, restricting him to just 14 appearances this term—six of them starts—where he has managed three goals and one assist across all competitions.

The Brazilian still has over two years remaining on his contract, which runs until 2027. While Tottenham weigh up their options, Richarlison must produce a strong finish to the season if he is to strengthen his case for staying. If his injury struggles persist, Spurs may have no choice but to cut their losses and move on.
