Dejan Kulusevski remains the ‘impossible market dream’ for Serie A giants

Dejan Kulusevski is at the top of one Serie A club’s wishlist, but they might struggle to get a deal with Tottenham over the line after the latest development regarding a key hire.

Kulusevski was arguably Tottenham’s most consistent performer in the first half of the season, especially thriving in a central role and even keeping James Maddison out of the club’s starting eleven at times.

The 24-year-old’s form has dropped off over recent months, which is perhaps a result of the amount of workload the winger had to burden in light of Tottenham’s injury crisis this season.

Kulusevski is currently out with a foot injury which is expected to keep him sidelined for at least another couple of weeks.

AC Milan’s dream to sign Dejan Kulusevski now looks ‘impossible’

MilanLive have now reported that the Tottenham man is AC Milan’s ‘impossible market dream’ of the summer transfer window.

It is explained that the Rossoneri’s club advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic knows Kulusevski well and would like to bring his compatriot to the San Siro.

However, it is pointed out that Tottenham value the former Juventus man at over €70m (£58.7m), which makes him too expensive for Milan.

It is also revealed that the Serie A giants are expected to be unsuccessful in their efforts to hire Fabio Paratici as their sporting director, which will hinder their chances of landing Kulusevski.

Will Tottenham consider letting Kulusevski leave?

Kulusevski showed just how important a player he can be for Ange Postecoglou’s side earlier this season when he was fully fit and well-rested.

Spurs are unlikely to entertain any offers in the £60m range for the Sweden international, who is evidently thought of very highly at Hotspur Way.

It is going to take an offer of at least £80m to give Tottenham something to think about, and it seems unlikely that any club would be willing to put such a big offer on the table for the 24-year-old.
