Bruins Reveal Jersey Numbers For Trade Deadline Acquisitions

The Boston Bruins will have some unfamiliar faces skating around during their matinee matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

We wouldn’t let you turn the game on without some key information to identify them, though!

The B’s revealed jersey numbers for four recent trade acquisitions, with Casey Mittelstadt (No. 11), Henri Jokiharju (No. 44), Marat Khusnutdinov (No. 92) and Jakub Lauko (No. 94) all receiving fresh digits prior to their expected debut at Amalie Arena.

Lauko is the only player to keep the same number from his previous stop, coincidentally having worn it for both Boston and the Minnesota Wild.

Mittelstadt is making the change from previously wearing No. 37 with the Buffalo Sabres and Colorado Avalanche. As you can imagine, we’ve already seen the last person to wear that number in Boston. Jokiharju previously wore No. 10 but decided to make a change despite it being open. Khusnutdinov did the same by making the switch from No. 22.

Bruins general manager Don Sweeney already announced that the club wouldn’t be making any more jersey changes — specifically as it related to the captain, so what you see is likely what you’ll get for the remainder of the season.
