Livingstone Has 'Unfinished Business' With Hibs

0 8

Rosie Livingstone shares her delight, pride and sense of "unfinished business" at Hibernian Women after signing a new contract extension to keep her at the Club until Summer 2027!

Putting pen to paper on a new two-year deal, the versatile forward is eager to build on the 55 appearances she has made for Hibs since making her First Team debut aged just 15 almost four years ago.

"I’m very happy," Rosie told HibsTV. "I’ve been here a wee while now but I feel like I’ve not had that full season under my belt yet.

"I’ve always had an injury or something come up. To sign for two years, I feel like I’ve got unfinished business at the Club to deal with.

"Me and my family are so proud for me to still be here."

A long-term injury between April and October wreaked havoc on 2024 for Livingstone, keeping her out for the end and beginning of Hibs' previous and current campaign, respectively.

The 19-year-old returned to action versus Montrose on 6 October 2024 and marked her return with a fine acrobatic finish, before sealing a memorable Edinburgh Derby victory over Hearts at Tynecastle Park with a late winner in November.

In total, Rosie has notched up 13 appearances this season as she returns to full fitness, scoring five times - including a goal on her first start in 12 months versus Motherwell, a clincher over Rangers on her 50th Hibernian outing and a vital opener against Montrose at Links Park.

"As soon as I found out Grant was keen to keep me, it was something I did not second guess.

"I want to still be here.

"I’ve had glimpses of what it feels like to get those wins in the Derby and scoring against Hearts. That is what young Rosie dreamed of."

Rosie was unfortunate to miss a large bulk of the 2023/24 campaign, not featuring between late December until March before being ruled out once more in late April.

The Scotland youth international has demonstrated her ability on the pitch despite the setbacks, as well as her resilience and mental fortitude to overcome such great challenges at such a young age.

"Injuries are tricky. It’s weird to say, but I’m grateful I’ve went through those experiences so young. Especially at Hibs, they have done such a good job of taking care of me.

"It’s definitely something that I’m happy to have gone through but also happy to leave in the past.

"Now, since I am still young, I would like to pick up more game time and improve my game knowledge."
