GiveMeSport have now said that Spurs are ‘edging towards taking advantage’ of their option to buy Cardoso in the summer, with the Hotspur Way recruitment chiefs being mightily impressed with the midfielder’s performance on Saturday.
The outlet claims that the American’s performances has increased the chances of Spurs triggering the clause, with the North London side said to be confident that the Betis man would be ‘worth the investment’.
Spurs have been impressed with Cardoso’s all-action displays over recent months, and the Premier League side are expected to monitor him closely until the summer.
