On-loan Tottenham starlet scores and assists to continue his fine season
Tottenham loanee George Abbott was once again the star of the show for Notts County on Sunday as they emerged with a 2-2 draw away at Fleetwood Town.
While there has been a lot of excitement from Spurs fans about what Jamie Donley is doing at Leyton Orient, another young academy midfielder, Geroge Abbott, has been just as impressive in the division below.
The 19-year-old Tottenham midfielder has been a rock in the base of midfield for the League Two side all season and is also making decisive contributions in the final third when he goes forward.
Abbott scored a goal and an assist on Sunday to help Notts County emerge with a hard-fought 2-2 draw away at Fleetwood Town, thus taking his tally to 10 goal contributions across all competitions so far this season.

Abbott opened the scoring for the away side at the Highbury Stadium on 16 minutes, with the midfielder showing tremendous composure to slot the ball away calmly after being played through on goal.
However, the home side managed to turn around the match with a brace from Ryan Gradon in the second half.
Abbott then came in clutch for his side again late on, playing a low cross/shot across the face of the goal, which was tapped in by Alassana Janta to level the scores on 89 minutes.
Abbott has shown an eye for goal at Notts County
Abbott is highly rated by the coaches at Hotspur Way due to his versatility and tactical intelligence.
However, the defensive midfielder has shown during his time at Meadow Lane that he has other strings to his bow, particularly his ability to time his runs and make decisive contributions in the final third.
Given the amount of top young talent at Spurs at the moment, the 19-year-old will have to do brilliantly to break into Ange Postecoglou’s side, but he will undoubtedly come back to Hotspur Way in the summer as a much better player.
