Did Rams Troll Tom Brady With Matthew Stafford Announcement?
The Los Angeles Rams knew exactly what they were doing, didn’t they?
LA had every reason to celebrate on Friday, as the organization reportedly came to an agreement that would keep Matthew Stafford around for at least one more season, but in making the announcement, decided to throw a shot in the direction of Tom Brady.
“ALLOW ME TO REINTRODUCE MYSELF,” the club’s social media account posted to X.
Brady, of course, used to run out of the tunnel to Jay-Z’s “Public Service Announcement” during his playing days with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which features those lyrics.
Why did they drag a retired player into it?
Brady and Stafford reportedly met this week in Montana, with many believing the impromptu run-in was calculated as a recruiting pitch on behalf of the Las Vegas Raiders. Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport even got into an altercation over the reporting of that meeting, but it was all for not, as Stafford will remain in The
City of Angels.
