THE LOWDOWN
The third Edinburgh Derby of the season takes place this weekend with Hearts visiting Easter Road on Sunday lunchtime; kick-off at 12:30pm live on Sky Sports.
The Hibees come into it off the back of two huge results; beating Celtic 2-1 at Easter Road before picking up a vital three points away at Dundee United in midweek.
David Gray’s side came from behind at Tannadice with Mykola Kuharevich on target in the first half before late strikes from Kieron Bowie and Junior Hoilett completed a 3-1 victory.
That result meant we leapfrogged Dundee United and lifted us up to fourth in the William Hill Premiership – one point behind Aberdeen in third.
TEAM NEWS
David Gray will provide a full team news update ahead of the Derby when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon.
Joe Newell is unavailable due to injury, whilst Dylan Levitt and Elie Youan will be monitored ahead of the fixture.
THE VISITORS
Hearts come into this fixture off the back of a good run of form. Since the turn of the year, the Jambos have won eight out of their 10 matches in all competitions and earlier this week they climbed into the top six for the first time since the opening weekend.
One player to watch is Hearts striker, Elton Kabangu – the Belgian centre-forward has scored seven goals in eight games since joining in January.
We’re unbeaten in the Edinburgh Derby since December 2023. We’ve taken four points off Hearts this season, drawing 1-1 at Easter Road in October – before a memorable 2-1 victory away at Tynecastle on Boxing Day.
