KAI MONTAGU EXTENDS DEAL

Raith Rovers Football Club is thrilled to announce that 18-year-old midfielder Kai Montagu has signed a new contract, extending his stay at Stark’s Park until 2027.

This new agreement adds an additional year to his previous deal, reinforcing the Club’s long-term vision for nurturing young players.

Since joining Raith Rovers from East Kilbride last year, Kai has made 16 appearances this season, consistently impressing with his energy, creativity and forward-thinking play style.

A player with buckets of current talent and future potential, Kai has made a seamless transition from youth football to part-time and now to full-time.

Manager Barry Robson expressed his enthusiasm about Kai’s extended contract:

“Kai is a young player who we think we can develop into an important part of the team.

His enthusiasm and running power is the type of player we identify with.“

Kai himself commented:

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Raith so far.

I’ve loved the intensity and the challenge of playing at a high level, being part of such a great group of boys makes it even better.

The fans have been so supportive of me, that was a big part of why signing a new deal was an easy decision for me.“

Kai’s journey began at the St Mirren Academy before he advanced through East Kilbride’s Under-18 and Under-20 squads, earning the Under-20s Player of the Year award and making his mark in their first team.
