Patriots Fans Took Victory Lap For Tom Brady After Chiefs’ Super Bowl Loss

Tom Brady and the dynasty-era Patriots were a clear winner of Super Bowl LIX, and the Foxboro Faithful took what they felt was a well-deserved victory lap.

Brady would never do it himself, of course.

The Philadelphia Eagles steamrolled Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs to the tune of a 40-22 beatdown where the score was closer than the game itself. Philadelphia scored the first 34 points of the contest before Kansas City cut its deficit with two touchdowns in the final three minutes of regulation.

It allowed Patriots fans the opportunity to take shots at Mahomes and company throughout the second half, many pointing to the fact Brady’s teams were never embarrassed like that in the Super Bowl.

Mahomes shouldered the blame for Kansas City’s blowout loss. A win would have earned the Chiefs the NFL’s first-ever Super Bowl three-peat and given Kansas City a leg up on the dynasty Patriots, who never accomplished such a feat.

The Chiefs’ superstar quarterback now enters a long offseason which likely will be filled with disappointment and regret. All while the road to catch Brady’s seven rings is as long as it was when the season started.
