Ford Final Five Facts: Bruins Face Fleury in Final Boston Matchup

Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury played in his final game at TD Garden Tuesday night. It was his 1,044th career game, tying him with Roberto Luongo for second all time. Despite several excellent saves from Fleury, Jeremy Swayman and the Bruins got the shutout win over the Wild, beating them 3-0.

Charlie McAvoy scored the game opener in the second period off of a deflection, his seventh goal of the season. It was McAvoy’s second goal in as many games. The goal also extended winger David Pastrnak’s point streak to eleven games, and notched him his 793rd career point, trying him with Wayne Cashman for 8th most in Bruins history.

Trent Frederic scored the second goal of the game— also in the second period— for his first goal since January 14.

Morgan Geekie picked up another point, scoring an empty net goal in the last minute of third period play. His 16th goal of the season now puts him one away from matching his career high of 17, which he set last season with the Bruins.
