Tom Brady Finds Full-Circle Moment At Super Bowl LIX

Tom Brady is synonymous with the Super Bowl.

And he’ll experience the big game from a different angle Sunday when he appears on FOX’s broadcast of Super Bowl LIX. The seven-time Super Bowl champion closes out his “rookie” season alongside play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt.

When Brady walks inside Caesars Superdome on Sunday, he could experience feelings of déjà vu from his early days with the New England Patriots. The stadium hosted Super Bowl XXXVI when Brady led the underdog Patriots against the juggernaut St. Louis Rams. Brady won his first championship tin New Orleans, which set the tone for a legendary career including six titles with the Patriots and one more with the Buccaneers.

FOX also broadcasted that game with Pat Summerall and John Madden on the call.

Brady’s legacy certainly factors into storylines as Patrick Mahomes continues his historic chase of the Patriots legend. Mahomes would secure his fourth title and the NFL’s first three-peat if the Kansas City Chiefs defeats the Philadelphia Eagles. That outcome could be pivotal as the GOAT conversation remains ongoing.

FOX Sports’ Chris Myers added more coincidental context to Brady’s call as the last team he beat in the Super Bowl (Chiefs, Super Bowl LV) faces the last team to beat him in one (Eagles, Super Bowl LII).

Brady and Burkhardt have the FOX call Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. ET.
