Carey double as Bay reach semi-finals

JOSH CAREY, making his first start in nine games, scored two second half goals as Colwyn Bay won-3-0 away to Gresford Athletic to reach the northern semi-finals of the Welsh Blood Service League Cup.

Craig Lindfield opened the scoring after 26 minutes with his 20th goal of the season to put the Seagulls 1-0 up at half-time.

Josh Carey made it 2-0 six minutes into the second half and then added Bay’s third on 89 minutes to secure the victory at progress to the next round of the cup.

New signing George Nugent made his debut from the substitutes bench in the second half.
