Match Preview: Queen’s Park v Celtic – Wed 29 Jan 25

0 22

Queen’s Park return to action tonight when Celtic visit Ochilview Park as The Spiders tough run of fixtures continue.

The Spiders come into tonight’s match after a disappointing day in Aberdeen, losing 3-0. However, the side is bolstered by the return of Megan Quigley and Jordan McLintock, as well as new signing’s Abbie Cusack and Jasmine McPhie – both have whom are available for selection tonight. On-loan Celtic youngster, Charlize McFadyen, remains sidelined through injury, but would have been otherwise unavailable to face her parent club.

Celtic, meanwhile, approach tonight’s match on the back of a professional 4-0 victory against Heart of Midlothian on Sunday, and firm in the knowledge that a win would take them level on points with Glasgow City at the top of the SWPL table.

Ahead of the match, Head Coach Iain Robinson said: “We’re look forward another game, but we know how will difficult it will be. Our last game at home was a tough afternoon, but since then we’ve had a good number of training sessions and I’m happy with how we have been progressing as a group, so this will be a good opportunity to test how we are progressing”.
