Total agreement reached on €60m Man United target with 100 G/A in 167 games

Long term Man United target, Victor Boniface, has reached total agreement on a €60m transfer from Bayer Leverkusen – but with Saudi Pro League giants, Al Nassr, and not the Red Devils.

Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has posted on X that the move for the 24-year-old will take place immediately, bringing to an end Man United’s pursuit.

Man United miss out on Victor Boniface

The striker has already passed his medical with Al Nassr says Plettenberg, and will earn an astronomical €15m per season.

Chelsea were also reported to be interested in Boniface, so they too will be disappointed by the latest developments.

“I’ll NEVER say sorry!” – which ex-Arsenal star says he was “really p***ed off” with how he was treated before leaving?

Boniface’s poor injury record might even have been a reason why, ultimately, the Red Devils decided not to firm up their original interest in the player.

Given that he’s only in his early twenties too, it begs the question as to why more elite European clubs weren’t in the hunt for his services.

Victor Boniface moving to Saudi not Old Trafford

Could it be that, in fact, the cruciate ligament problems that the player has suffered from has been the major reason why Europe’s best have steered clear?

Whatever the reason, either Boniface has made a massive mistake in heading to Saudi as he approaches his prime, or he’s got in at the right time as the league go from strength to strength.

Man United, meanwhile, will still be on the lookout for a striker that’s a virtual guarantee of goals.

The likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund clearly aren’t the answer for Ruben Amorim, but with only a few days left of the current transfer window, there isn’t too much time for the Portuguese to land the targets he wants.
