Yang Min-hyeok set to head out on loan before window closes
Tottenham Hotspur’s South Korean forward, Yang Min-hyeok, is reportedly considering a loan move to Queens Park Rangers.
Yang Min Hyeok’s journey to Tottenham
Before the January transfer window opened, Yang Min-hyeok had already been confirmed as one of Tottenham Hotspur’s summer signings, however, he officially joined the club in December from Gangwon FC, a team competing in the South Korean K League 1.
The versatile forward, arrived in North London following an impressive campaign in South Korea, where he featured in 38 matches, netted 12 goals, and provided five assists.
However, since his arrival, Yang has found playing time hard to come by. Despite Tottenham dealing with injuries in their attacking department, the South Korean forward has not made a single competitive appearance for the Lilywhites.
Yang Min Hyeok’s loan move to QPR on the cards
With games few to come by, the latest reports from Sport Chosun suggest that the youngster could be on his way out of Tottenham on loan.
This move, if finalised, could serve as a much-needed opportunity for Yang to gain valuable first-team experience in England’s competitive environment.
With QPR currently navigating their campaign in the Championship, a loan spell at the club would allow Yang to acclimatise to the demands of English football, while also showcasing his talent on a bigger stage.
Why Spurs might be looking to loan Yang
Reports earlier this month shed light on why Ange Postecoglou has been reluctant to give Yang Min-hyeok any minutes in the Tottenham first team.
The reports suggested that Postecoglou does not believe the South Korean forward is ready to start games for Spurs yet.
This loan move will provide him with the necessary experience he needs in English football and it will no doubt put him in a better position to fight for a squad role come the start of next season.
