Match Preview: Aberdeen v Queen’s Park – Sun 26 Jan 25

Queen’s Park travel to Aberdeen tomorrow to face The Dons in a vital SWPL 1 clash at Balmoral Park.

Iain Robinson’s side currently sit four points behind their hosts with both teams in the danger zone coming into the Matchday 18 fixture.

Both sides will be looking to push on and respond after defeats to either side of the Old Firm with The Spiders losing to Rangers and Scott Booth’s Aberdeen defeated 8-0 by Celtic in their previous league matches.

A win for Queen’s Park would see them put the pressure back on Aberdeen with a healthy portion of the season still to be played.

Ahead of the match, Iain Robinson said: “The Rangers game was a sore one for us all to take, but I’ve got give the girls immense credit for the way they have responded. Since then, we’ve had a really good two weeks of training and we come into Sunday’s game in good spirits.

We know Aberdeen are a good side, and they have added good quality with their recent signings. That said, however, I’ve got full faith in my players and the quality within the team that we can make it a challenging match for Aberdeen. We’re not travelling up there to come back down the road empty handed”.
