Cumming hat-trick as Seagulls hit five

0 4

JAMIE CUMMING scored a hat-trick as the Seagulls came from behind to win 5-1 away to Flint Mountain in another Friday night five-goal showing.

Second half substitutes Lloyd Marsh Hughes and Josh Carey got the other Bay goals.

The Bay found themselves a goal down in the first minute when Mike Hayes ran through and although his first effort was saved by Rhys Williams, he scored from the rebound.

Parity was restored, however, two minutes later when Jamie Cumming equalised with a header from a corner.

Craig Lindfield then put a header inches wide from a right wing cross and Ethan Roberts missed a big chance to get his first goal of the campaign when he shot straight at Flint keeper Reece Thompson.

Jamie Cumming put Bay 2-1 up right on half-time when he turned well and drove into the box before placing his shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Flint pressed for a while at the start of the second half with Rhys Williams making a good save to prevent an equaliser, before the Seagulls went 3-1 up when Ethan Roberts was fouled in the area and Jamie Cumming stepped up to score from the spot to complete his first ha-trick for the club.

Second half substitutes Josh Carey and Lloyd Marsh-Hughes then combined to extend Bay’s lead, with Lloyd scoring with a header from Josh’s excellent cross on 86 minutes, and then Josh Carey sweeping home a fifth from 12 yards two minutes later.
