McGoona double caps big win for Reserves

THE Colwyn Bay Reserves continued their winning form with a 5-1 away victory at Conwy Borough Reserves to maintain their challenge at the top of the FAW Reserve League North West.

They led 2-1 at half-time with Nikola Georgiev putting them back in front after Conwy’s Theo Davies had equalised an ealy own goal by Conwy skipper Brandon Roberts.

In the second half Anthony Poole made 3-1 on 67 minutes before two late strikes by Max McGoona in the 86th and 90th minutes completed the scoring.

Team manager Paul Roberts made five second half substitutions, with Guto Williams getting some valuable minutes as he battles back from injury.
