The towering left-footed centre-back joined Ipswich Town on transfer deadline day a year ago and immediately linked up with John McGreal’s U21 side.
Formerly of Mervue United and Galway United, Dan now heads to Hampshire for first loan spell in the game.
The young Irishman missed the start of the 2024/25 season due to injury, but is now back fit and has helped propel his U21 side to 23 points and seventh place after 17 games so far in the Professional Development League South.
He has been training with Spencer Day’s squad over the past week and is available for tonight’s away fixture at Salisbury.
O’Connor has been allocated shirt number 6.
