Tottenham Team News v Arsenal: Player out with hamstring injury, Richarlison available
Ange Postecoglou has delivered an injury update on his Tottenham Hotspur squad ahead of the Premier League match against Arsenal.
Arsenal v Tottenham in the Premier League
The FA Cup proved to be eventful for both sides with Tottenham beating Tamworth 3-0 in extra time, while Arsenal were eliminated from the competition following a penalty shoot-out defeat to Manchester United.
Tottenham are once again without Rodrigo Bentancur following his concussion against Liverpool which forced him off in the opening stages of the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg win.
Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Wilson Odobert, Ben Davies, Richarlison and Destiny Udogie remain on the sidelines with their respective rehabilitation schedules as they look to return from injury.
Spurs have won only one of the last eight matches between the two sides, with their last victory at the Emirates in the Premier League coming in 2010.
Since the beginning of last month, only Southampton and Leicester City have collected fewer points than Tottenham, something which needs to be addressed and urgently.
What is the Tottenham team news vs Arsenal?
It is a case of one player out and one returning after Postecoglou revealed Timo Werner sustained a hamstring injury against Tamworth, while Richarlison is once again available for selection.
Postecoglou told Football.London: “The only one who picked up an injury was Timo [Werner]. It’s a hamstring injury and we’re waiting on the results of that scan. In terms of incoming, Richy is available.”
The North London derby takes place at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday with kick-off at 8pm and the match being televised live in the UK on TNT Sports 1.
