Predicted Tottenham XI to face Arsenal – Antonin Kinsky and Bergvall start
Tottenham will be hoping to build on their recent cup wins when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League. Let’s take a look at our predicted Tottenham XI to face Arsenal.
Predicted Tottenham XI to face Arsenal
Goalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky: After making his Carabao Cup and FA Cup debuts in the space of a week, Antonin Kinsky is set to make his Premier League debut in one of Tottenham’s biggest league clashes on Wednesday. Hopefully, he makes it 3/3 clean sheets in his three starts.
Right-back – Pedro Porro: Porro should continue as the right-back in Wednesday’s North London derby, as Spurs still have defensive injuries to contend with.
Centre-back – Radu Dragusin: Radu Dragusin was one of the few players who did not play 120 minutes against Tamworth, which is great considering the amount of minutes he has played in recent weeks. With a little bit of rest in his tank, he is expected to continue as Spurs’ senior centre-back.
Centre-back – Archie Gray: One man who really needs a break is our 18-year-old versatile midfielder. But a rest is not coming anytime soon, so he is expected to continue at centre-back.
Left-back – Djed Spence: Spence was handed a brief rest against Tamworth at the weekend, so he should be fit and ready to play on the left flank against Arsenal.
Pivot midfielder – Yves Bissouma: Bissouma was class against Tamworth and, in fairness to him, he has been solid in recent games. No doubts about this one; he will be the pivot midfielder tasked with offering cover to the backline.
Central midfielder – Lucas Bergvall: After his impressive outing against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, Bergvall was handed a rest against Tamworth, possibly with a view to starting this North London derby clash.
Central midfielder – James Maddison: James Maddison got ninety minutes in his tank against Tamworth, while Johnson got 120 minutes. Perhaps the gaffer is looking to play him in midfield against the Gunners.
Right midfielder – Dejan Kulusevski: Our best player this season, Dejan Kulusevski, should play on the right and probably drift and float around to impact the game. Hopefully, he adds to his goal tally once more, which means Johnson drops to the bench.
Striker – Dominic Solanke: Ange has hinted that Richarlison will be fit enough to feature in this clash against Arsenal, but we do not expect him to start. He could come off the bench, which means Solanke will continue as our number nine.
Left midfielder – Heung-min Son: Sonny was benched against Tamworth, and when he came on, he looked sharp and got an assist. So, he should continue on the left, but if he fails to make an impact, our wonderkid Mikey Moore will be waiting on the bench.
