Spurs alleged to be edging closer to securing Randal Kolo Muani

The speculation linking Randal Kolo Muani with a move to Spurs has gone into hyperdrive over the past few weeks and it has now emerged that the move might be concluded in a matter of days.

This update comes from TBR Football, who say that Tottenham still face competition from the likes of Manchester United, Aston Villa and Juventus for the Frenchman.

The Lilywhites are reported to be keen on stealing a march on their rivals and completing the deal swiftly, and they have now made a promise to the 26-year-old in their efforts to do so.

Tottenham’s promise to Randal Kolo Muani

The report claims that Spurs have promised the PSG star that he will command a place in Ange Postecoglou‘s starting eleven if he arrives at N17.

The outlet suggests that the versatile Kolo Muani is most likely to challenge Heung-min Son for his spot on the left while he can also rotate with Dominic Solanke upfront.

The France international is reportedly keen on getting regular football under his belt ahead of next year’s World Cup in North America.

The publication adds that Spurs have also made it clear to Kolo Muani that he will be an important part of their project and told the player that they want him to help lead them into a new era, which the former Eintracht Frankfurt man is keen to do.

What this means for Heung-min Son

The reality is that Son‘s performances this season have not justified an automatic starting birth in the team.

Not only is not as sharp in the final third and appears to have lost a yard of pace, but he also does not contribute as much as others to Tottenham’s pressing game.

Kolo Muani‘s possible arrival will put pressure on the South Korean and force him to bring his A-game, with the Spurs captain now facing a big six months.
